This small oil painting of marching geese was painted from an old photo and memories of the geese which use to wander around my grandfathers farm in North Yorkshire.
I am however painting less and less from photos now, and starting to paint more landscape work outdoors on location as I used to do many years ago. Nevertheless, I couldn't resist the charm of the scene, and the wonderful contrast of light and dark. The new plein air work will be shown soon.
